Race to RIAT
New for 2026, we’re proud to introduce Race to RIAT, our esports competition for 14-16 year olds.
Inspiring the next generation of pilots and engineers, Race to RIAT is an edrone racing time trial, with the fastest 16 racers from across the country joining us for a live grand final at RIAT. Alongside edrone racing abilities, the competition will also help to spark curiosity and develop skills including engineering, communication, leadership and resilience.
Race to RIAT is delivered in partnership with the British Esports Federation and DXC Technology.
Eligibility
Race to RIAT is open to 14-16 year olds in schools, colleges and Air Cadet settings across the UK. To express an interest in joining the competition please contact British Esports.
About the Competition
The competition is composed of six different tracks with races taking place between April 20th and June 14th, with a new map released each week for racers to set their fasts time. The 16 fastest participants will battle it out at RIAT in the grand final to scoop first place on the podium.
