The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises (RAFCTE) is the trading arm of its parent charity, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust.  The charity exists to increase awareness of and recruitment to the Royal Air Force and to provide financial support for the family of RAF charities.  Based alongside RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, RAFCTE employs approximately 50 staff with a turnover in the region of £7m. and, amongst other activities stages the Royal International Air Tattoo, the world’s largest military air show.

VIP GUEST EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
(PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION)

Reporting direct to the Commercial Director, we are looking for an efficient and capable administrator to supervise the VIP guest management for the company’s activities including the Royal International Air Tattoo. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of guest database
  • Administration of guest lists
  • Liaison with corporate sponsors
  • Co-ordination of a team of volunteers
  • Prepare & update briefing documents
  • Co-ordination of VIP mailings

Candidates will need to show evidence of the following:

  • Flexibility
  • A pleasant, confident telephone manner
  • Outgoing personality
  • Ability to work with different teams and agencies
  • Good trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • A good team player who is happy to work alone when required

Skills/qualifications:

  • 4 GCSE’s or equivalent (to include English)
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Knowledge of Military/Defence Industry desirable but not essential

Working hours:

Working hours for this full time position is 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. However, some flexibility is required with regard to hours of work as some overtime and weekend working will be required from time to time to fulfil the responsibilities of the job. 

A full, clean UK driving licence and own transport is essential for this position.
